Merry Christmas from Florida Preborn Rescue! It is hard to believe that
2015 is over, and 2016 is here!
Looking back, my heart is full of thanksgiving for all of your prayers and
support this year. Truly, 2015 was a groundbreaking year for Florida Preborn
Rescue. Going over the year’s highlights, it’s hard to specify memories that
stood out, but I will try anyway. J
First, we are excited to announce that Scott is at 36% of full-time
support. We increased 12% from last year. Thank you for your support!
Second, 2015 was the slowest year in recent memory for the abortion clinic
on Central Avenue in St Petersburg. Eight Saturdays the parking lot of the
clinic was COMPLETELY empty. Please continue to pray that this clinic closes
down in Jesus name!
Third, we held three sidewalk counseling classes in 2015, attended by 35
pro-lifers. Some of these folks have begun coming out to the sidewalk with us.
We plan on organizing all the sidewalk counselors in a schedule soon. We praise
God for the laborers that he is raising up!
Fourth, we offered help and hope to 180 women at the clinic this year, 25
took our information, and we had two confirmed saves!
Fifth, did you notice our awesome new logo? Thanks to Linda Altman, we now
have a very professional look.
Sixth, 2015 was a year where our visibility city-wide increased dramatically. Here is a summary.
In January, FPR peacefully protested Planned Parenthood at their event at
the Florida Aquarium in Tampa, and raised awareness for the pro-life movement
and hopefully discoraged Planned Parenthood from using family-friendly business
like the Florida Aquarium. In March, we did a leafleting campaign in the
neighborhood surrounding the clinic on Central Avenue. At the beginning of the
summer, Scott was the featured guest at St. Anne’s Public House, an online
Christian magazine, discussing sidewalk counseling for a nationwide audience. In
June and July, we made two presentations at St Petersburg City Hall regarding
the Mayor of St Petersburg’s refusal to acknowledge our request to fly the
pro-life flag. Gene Webb, a local conservative blogger, picked up on the story
and ran it on his blog, bpiol.com, and Janelle Irwin, a local liberal blogger
for the site saintpetersblog.com picked it up on her blog as well. Then, things
started to get interesting.
I received a call from CNSnews.com reporter Mark Judge asking me if he
could run the story on his site. The story received 11,000 shares! Praise the Lord! This story directed a lot of
traffic to our Facebook page and blog. The story was then picked up by
Conservative News Daily which covers Florida political stories. Florida Preborn
Rescue’s name was listed even above the rapper “Pitbull”. We were quite
impressed with ourselves. J
The summer’s activity continued. In August, I was honored to be one of the
featured speakers at the DefundPP rally in Tampa. I was also part of a radio
debate on WMNF 88.5 Tampa as well, discussing the defunding of Planned
Parenthood. Finally, in September, I was the featured speaker at the St
Petersburg 40 Days for Life campaign kickoff. All of these videos are online at
my blog and Facebook too.
Whew. I am exhausted just remembering all of that. As we look forward to
2016, we have several goals and announcements.
First, we are close to unveiling our online schedule with each of the five
clinics in the St Petersburg area and the respective sidewalk counselors who
minister there. Stay tuned for this.
Second, as you know, FPR teaches Christ-centered sidewalk counseling
classes to pro-life Christians of all denominations. We are planning to host
four mid-week sidewalk counseling classes this year in St Petersburg. We have
heard feedback from several people who would love to learn more but are unable
to come on Saturdays. This will enable us to broaden our reach into the Christian
community.

Third, you will notice that there is a return envelope with this
newsletter, but no stamp. As our mailing list nears 1,000 we want to be good
stewards of all the donations we receive. Therefore,
we will continue to provide everyone with envelopes, but sending stamps to
everyone is becoming cost-prohibitive. If you are interested in donating by
sending in checks, let us know and we can provide you the postage!
Fourth, please continue to pray for our efforts at the All Women’s Health
Center abortion clinic on Central Avenue in St Petersburg. May God bless you
and yours now and always.
