Meet the Director

Scott J. Mahurin is the founder and director of Florida Preborn Rescue. He has spent his entire adult
life in Christian ministry, and for the last three years has been involved in sidewalk counseling for the unborn in St. Petersburg and Tampa. He has also worked on Personhood movements in Florida and Mississippi. He currently is the Latin and Rhetoric teacher at The Paideia School of Tampa Bay in Tampa. Mr. Mahurin holds two B.S. degrees in History and Philosophy from the University of Idaho, and taught for 13 years in Christian education. Through the years, he has primarily taught Latin, Rhetoric, and History. From 1999-2002 he served as a campus minister of Christ Church, Moscow, ID, and taught Apologetics and Bible study on the campuses of Washington State University and University of Idaho. He lives in St Petersburg and has three daughters and a small cat.
