Testimony from one of Florida Preborn Rescue's sidewalk counselors

Scott Mahurin has been a sidewalk counselor and pro-life advocate since 2009, while also holding a full-time teaching job.  Over that time, God has used Scott in profound ways to advance the cause of the preborn.  As someone who has pleaded with abortion-minded women alongside Scott, I can testify to his concern for both the preborn and their parents, whom he speaks to with compassion and clarity.  Children are alive today because of God’s work through Scott.

That said, what has impressed me most about Scott is his desire to see the Church awakened to defend the cause of the weak.  To this end, Scott regularly teaches classes, training other Christians how to reach out to abortion-minded women in love and give a voice to those that have none.  He also helps organize and lead various rallies and prayer events, which many churches in the area participate in together.  In light of all of this, I am excited to see what God will do through Scott as a full-time sidewalk counselor.  Partnering with Scott in his efforts can have an exponential impact on the pro-life cause as Christians are educated and equipped to carry out God’s work.
